The system is intended for use in clarifiers with a rectangular shape, which provides a large settling area, without increasing the dimensions of the clarifiers themselves.
The new Leopold Texler plate clarifier with lamellae made of recycled hydrophobic geotextile
- The inclined arrangement of the plates significantly increases the area of the working surface of the sump;
- The geotextile material of the plates makes it impossible for sediment to accumulate on them;
- Hinged covers over the thin layer system provide easy access to the plates for inspection or maintenance;
- The filter element coating system absorbs 90% of UV radiation, which minimizes the possibility of biofouling;
- The plates are made of highly durable HDPE, which does not contribute to the accumulation of sludge and does not require regular cleaning;
- Built-in comb weir evenly distributes the flow throughout the system;
- Modular side panels are rigid and lightweight, reducing the need for additional support structures.
Main technical characteristics:
- Width 61 - 183 cm
- Height 152 - 305 cm;
- Interaxal distance of plates 5 cm;
- Tilt angle of slats 55º
The Leopold Texler plate-shaped thin-layer settling clarifier settling unit uses inclined plates. Texler provides a large area of lightening. The lamella sheets are set at an angle of 55°, which can almost double the productivity of these weapons, by reducing the time the water stays in them, in comparison with traditional settling systems. The unique trough covers have an integrated ridge weir to ensure uniform flow distribution along the length of the clarifier. The suspended solids content is reduced by more than 80%, bringing the turbidity reading to less than 1 NTU.
Texler lamellas are made of hydrophobic geotextile based on high density polyethylene (HDPE). The repellent properties and flexible nature of the geotextile prevents the accumulation of sediment on the sheets of lamellas, which reduces the number of cleaning operations for the latter. Gutter covers (if required) provide easy access for inspection or service work. Texler's unique design solution minimizes maintenance costs.
Texler is economical to install due to its lightweight modular design. The width of the lamella sheets can be adapted to optimize their efficient use in existing process tanks, and the use of HDPE reduces manufacturing and installation costs compared to similar stainless steel designs. Typically, modern plate clarifiers are made of stainless steel plates, which require much more massive supporting structures and high capital and labor costs.
Texler lamellar structures can be easily adapted to settling tanks adapted by ST-2 sludge collection and removal systems.
