Tethered tool for pipelines inspection
The Sahara platform is a tethered inspection tool for assessing pressurized water pipelines DN150 and larger. The platform detects leaks and air pockets, collects visual condition, and maps pipelines in a single deployment, without disrupting regular service. With this condition assessment data, pipeline owners can make informed rehabilitation and management decisions on a pipe-by-pipe basis.
Locates very small leaks and air pockets in real time with high accuracy. Ideal for complex pipeline networks requiring precision control and location accuracy. Easy-to-deploy through existing pipeline features 2 inches (50 mm) and larger. Can be deployed in no-flow conditions. Real-time pipeline mapping confirms the alignment and locates pipeline features. Captures live video of the pipeline interior.
The main goals achieved during the inspection:
- detection of leaks;
- detection of gas pockets;
- video recording/broadcasting of the state of the pipeline;
- GIS cartography;
- definition of connections to the pipeline (authorized and not).
During the inspection, PURE Technologies specialists in real time:
- detect 98% of all leaks (last 2% after inspection, within 4 weeks of analysis), gas pockets, authorized and unauthorized connections to the pipeline;
- carry out on-line video surveillance / fixing the state of the internal walls of the pipeline;
- determine the location of anomalies;
- create a GIS map of the pipeline.
The results of the inspection are:
- a detailed report on leaks (100%) and anomalies found during the inspection;
- GIS map with the plotted pipeline and coordinates of the detected anomalies;
- video inspection recording;
