Application

The WEDECO Quadron system is the ideal solution when the space available for installing a UV disinfection system is limited to a minimum. Equipped with a reactor of minimum length, providing disinfection of the flow with a maximum flow rate of 4100 m³/h.

Features

The Xylem Wedeco Quadron Series is a proven, compact UV solution for the disinfection of potable water, process water and other high UV transmittance liquids. Used when it is better to use a medium pressure UV system with closed tanks. Quadron is used when the space for installing a UV disinfection system is limited. This provides considerable flexibility in the modernization of existing treatment plants of different capacities.

An even flow distribution within the irradiation section is critical for high disinfection efficiency. The patented OptiCone flow switch ensures even flow distribution regardless of inlet piping configuration. The system significantly increases the disinfection efficiency by about 20% (after the 90° pivot point). The system ensures low pressure losses and maintains the required pump pressure.

Wedeco Multiray high-efficiency medium pressure UV lamps cover the entire radiation chamber, treating the entire water column. A reagent-free cleaning system and a control system with one sensor per lamp ensure that the dosage of radiation is correct at all times, while guaranteeing the correct dose of UV radiation.

The sensor signals, which are collected using fieldbus technology, are fed into a compact junction box for transmission to the control cabinet. This not only significantly reduces the amount of electrical work required, but also makes the installation less susceptible to electrical interference.

Quadron electronic ballasts are optimized for UV lamps to minimize power consumption and improve operational safety and lamp life. Adjustable lamp power ranging from 30 to 100%, combined with the Wedeco OptiDose control system, ensures that the UV system will only operate at the required power level, with a guaranteed lamp life of over 8,000 hours.
